I don’t know how many times I have gone into Wal-Mart, Academy, Tractor Supply, Sam’s Club, Home Depot, Lowes, etc and looked at their safes, shook my head, and walked away. It is not always true that the more you spend the better quality an item is or just because it is cheap it is a really bad safe. However, the most important thing to do and consider when purchasing a safe is thinking about what you are going to be putting into the safe and what you are going to be using it for. Don’t make a trip on a whim to a store and purchase the first thing you see. Research, ask questions, research, and ask a few more questions.
I was doing some research the other day and searching different blogs and ran across one that really hit the nail on the head. Going cheap will really hurt you in the long run. The article Going Cheap Will Cost You on Safes talks about what I have just mentioned. It’s just another source to get information from. The information and opinions are out there, go find them and you will find something you are happy with!

Wall Safes are not the most secure safes around – this should be common sense. However, they get their security from being hidden, behind a picture, behind a false wall, etc. This information aside it is important to get a wall safe that fits your needs and that is a good quality safe. I have seen many wall safes be cheap and terrible quality but yet is 200.00 plus dollars. Why spend that much money on something that isn’t worth it?
I just recently came across this safe and was astounded and the price of this and the quality. The steel thickness is amazing and generally is not something that you would find in most wall safes. It has a key override in case the batteries die on the lock or the lock malfunctions (we can’t expect them to last forever, they are electronic items). On the inside of the door there are hooks to hang spare keys, jewelery, or anything you can think of hanging up that is small. This 52EN safe is an excellent buy! I would suggest it to anyone who is shopping around for a wall safe – you won’t be sorry.

When you have important documents in your home, you need to make sure that you can keep them in a place that is fire safe and burglar safe. The only way to secure them is to use a fireproof and burglarproof safe. Many safes out there will surely meet your needs.
For papers and documents, you’ll only need a simple security file, which opens like a chest safe but fits folders inside perfectly. You can have a small chest-type safe where you can keep all your important documents, jewelry or other small items. Or you can opt for a cabinet style safe you can mount on a wall. And if you own a gun, it is definitely wise to store it in the safe. With a safe in your home, you will not have to worry about that important paper, valuable piece of jewelry or other high-valued item getting destroyed or stolen.

Looking for a safe to protect some documents and keep your sentimental items stored away? You found a great safe just for that. This Hollon HS-340E is a one hour fireproof safe that comes standard with an electronic lock. It has the ability to be bolted down to concrete or wood and even comes with the bolting hardware. Unlike some other safes you will find such as Sentry models, the only plastic you will find on this safe is the Electronic lock. This is one sturdy safe! Unlike a lot of safes these size, it has two bolts when the door is close and is made of steel. It has a drawer that you can use for jewelery or little items that will be stored safely and found easily. You definitely won’t be unhappy if you go with this fire safe.

Looking for a large drop safe that is simple and easy to use? This Hollon Drop Safe FD-3220D is just that. This safe is large and very simple to use and provides you the security for your business. The combination lock is a 4 number lock, non group II dial. It has one shelf that is removable but not adjustable. Although this safe doesn’t have the bells and whistles other safes might have, when you’re looking just for some security and peace of mind, you have found the right product. Get your safe before they sell out!

Looking for a large safe to secure your items and want good fireproof protection? It seems the most common safe that is purchased when a large safe is needed is a gun safe. This Hollon HS-1750E is an excellent safe to use to store lots of items and still be a two hour fireproof safe. It comes with an electronic lock, two locking drawers, and 3 adjustable shelves. This would be great for home or business depending upon your needs. Although this safe can’t be bolted down, it does weigh 1650 pounds, which any normal day to day burglar would be stunned at how to try to take the safe with him. This is a popular seller so the manufacturer is out of stock right now, but more are expected the beginning of June! Get yours reserved today!

Do you feel more secure putting your belongings into a floor safe? The common thought is out of site out of mind. This is generally true for most burglaries – most thefts that take place are not the theft of items in a floor safe – unless the thief knows there is one available. I have heard stories from people that purchase a home, replace the carpet, and find out they have a floor safe in their home.
Floor safes get their security from being hidden. An added security feature of the Hollon FS-B2 safe is a drill resistant hard plate behind the lock. This makes it much harder to break into the safe by drilling it open. It also comes with a cover once you have the door closed to make it easier to hide. This is an excellent safe to add to your home for your collections and valuables to stay protected.

Generally with most safes, fireproof safes or not, if you want a safe with more cubic feet, you have to get a safe that is taller. This can be a hassle because sometimes we have the perfect space picked out – that means specific dimensions. That means you must do one of three things, settle on a smaller safe that fits in your dimensions, have a safe custom made (which can cost thousands of dollars), or find a new spot.
The Hollon FB-845WE offers a shorter height but with a larger width. At only 33 1/4″ in height, it gives 7.45 cubic feet of space! This safe can be purchased with either an electronic lock or combination lock. It’s an excellent safe and provides a great two hours of fire protection but gives you not only the peace of mind of having the fire protection but the burglary feature that provides a glass re-locker and a locking bar that locks into place behind the hinge.
Hollon safes primarily only sold safes that had electronic keypads, except for a few drop safes or home fire safes. They just recently introduced the option to purchase the Hollon Fire and Burglary safes with combination locks. Some people prefer the dial lock over the electronic version and feel safer having it so they decided to start offering it to their customers. They will set the combination to the code of your choice so if you want it something special and don’t want to have to pay a lock smith to change it after wards make sure to note it on your order.
This is an excellent expansion of these safes and I’m excited to be able to announce the change. It will be an option soon offered on the website for a small fee to upgrade to the combination lock. So you can better understand why there is an extra charge I would like to provide an insight on the safe ordering world. When the safes are made by the manufacturer overseas they will generally put an electronic lock on the safe at no extra charge but charge more for a combination lock. It is as if they have accepted the fact that electronic locks are the new most popular lock option so they make it as a standard option. To those that still want the combination locks they charge a bit more, so it passes on to the consumer.

Does office safe make you think that this safe would not be good for your home? If so, you are not alone. This is the most common misunderstanding. These Hollon 2 Hour Fireproof Office safes are excellent for home and office use. They provide a better range in size than just the Hollon Home Safes and are a little bit more affordable than the Fire and Burglary Safe, although it is not fair to compare the two as they are in difference categories. This fire safe would be excellent for documents, papers, a little bit of jewelery and give you the piece of mind knowing it has 2 hour fire protection.
