Hollon LC-60J 1 hour fireproof home safe
Hollon has recently introduced a new UL rated 1 hour fireproof home safe, the LC-60J.  The safe features a secure combination dial locking mechanism, a removable shelf at the top of the safe and a secure lockbox with key lock that fits neatly into the bottom of the safe.  It is a medium-sized safe, measuring 23.5″ x 19″ x 19″ on the outside and 18.25″ x 13.5″ x 11.75″ on the inside.  It also features two active locking bolts and 1 fixed locking bolt that is on the hinge side.  The LC-60J features seamless constuction, which eliminates that weak spots (welded seams) associated with non-seamless safes.
The LC-60J also features true composite construction.  The safe is constructed using an outer layer of solid steel, an inner layer of solid steel, and sandwiched in between is a layer of concrete-like fireproofing material.  This composite construction method allows the safe to achieve its 1 hour fireproof rating. The UL 1 hour fireproof rating is a much higher standard than other ratings often used by manufacturers.  The test requires that the safe withstand an 1850 degree F fire for a period of 1 hour, without the temperature inside the safe rising above 350 degrees F.  This is a low enough temperature to ensure that your papers and other small valuables do not suffer any permanent damage.  Overall, the LC-60J represents an excellent value in a medium-sized 1 hour fireproof home safe.  For more information on the LC-60J, and information about where to buy, visit the following link:  Hollon LC-60 1 hour fireproof home safe.
